AIDA: cycling Italy from the Alps to the Adriatic
The AIDA (Alta Italia Da Attraversare) cycling route spans approximately 900 kilometers across northern Italy, connecting the French border at Moncenisio to the Adriatic coast in Trieste. The route passes through some of Italy’s most iconic cities, including Turin, Milan, Verona and Venice, offering cyclists a unique blend of cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and diverse landscapes. Riders can experience the scenic beauty of the Alps, the fertile plains of the Po Valley, and the charming coastal areas along the Adriatic Sea. Although the route utilizes existing roads and cycling paths, infrastructure improvements are ongoing to enhance the experience for cyclists. AIDA presents an excellent opportunity to explore northern Italy's rich history, gastronomy, and natural beauty on two wheels.
